Wonder Lands is a participatory art project fusing cycling and theatre making. At its core sits the question: how can we cultivate a state of wonder from which to make new work?
Through exploring of the Forth and Clyde Canal by bike, participants have discovered wonder within their local landscape, using their connection to nature as inspiration to generate ideas. Wonder Lands is the outcome of Roisin McLinden’s Community Artist Residency with National Theatre Scotland as part of The Neighbourhood Project and SiMY Community Development.
A short documentary film produced and directed by Humble Film productions illustrating the creative process of Wonder Lands was screened at Pinkston Watersports 10th Birthday Gala before being available to the public on the National Theatre Scotland website.
